About Bastian – Head Trainer
Hello, I’m Bastian, the head trainer at Blue Paws Dog Training. I’m proud to lead a company that is both queer- and disabled-owned, where inclusivity and understanding are at the heart of everything we do.
I am certified by the Animal Behavioral College and hold certifications in Pet First Aid and CPR. With over 10 years of experience in the pet industry, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including animal shelters, dog boarding facilities, dog grooming, dog training clubs, and an AZA-accredited zoo.
I’ve worked with dogs of all ages and backgrounds—from puppies to adult dogs, including those with behavioral challenges. I also have extensive knowledge of various dog training tools and can help guide you in selecting the right tools that will best suit your dog's needs.
I believe every dog is unique and requires a personalized approach to training. My goal is to find the most effective techniques and strategies that work for both you and your dog, ensuring a positive and successful training experience.
As a disabled individual, I am passionate about service dogs and making them accessible to those who need them. I have experience training several dogs, including my now retired service dog, Blue. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with the service dog community, gaining valuable insight into their unique needs and training requirements.
Thank you for choosing Blue Paws Dog Training. I look forward to working with you and your pet!
