Group Class Information

General Requirements

• All dogs must be socialized and comfortable around other dogs.
  
  
  

• Dogs must remain on-leash at all times.
  
  
  

• No dog-to-dog interaction (greeting or play) is allowed unless directed by the trainer.
  
  
  

• Dogs must be clean, well-groomed, and free of mats.
  
  
  

• A $40 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.
  
  
  

• Each course runs for 7 weeks:
  
  
  

• Week 1 is an orientation with no dogs.
  
  
  

• Week 7 is the final testing session.

• Does my dog need to be AKC registered to take a class?

• No, registration is not required for participation.

• Does my dog need to be registered to take the CGC test?

• No, but if you’d like to receive the official title from AKC, you’ll need to pay a fee. Titles above CGC require an AKC number.

• How do I get an AKC number?

• You can register your dog through the AKC Canine Partners Program. Note: There are restrictions, so please visit the AKC website for full details.

• Can reactive dogs join the class?

• If your dog poses a distraction or safety risk, private lessons are required before joining a group class.

• Can children handle the dog during class?

• Children under 13: Not allowed

Group Classes
